Well another entry in this high traffic blog! :) I finally went and put down the big bucks on a good road bike. It's a Trek 1500, you can look at the manufacturers site here. This one pictured is mine!

WOW! what a difference a good bike makes. I didn't push it real hard, but did an average of a 1 1/2 miles per hour faster! This doesn't sound like a lot but on a bike it is. I was getting a feel for the bike, new pedals, new shifting process (for me). So I wasn't trying to break any records just have a fun and safe ride. Not much else going on, kids back in school and April is working a new full-time job, yeah health insurance! Until next time...
